***Updated - I put the qualifying standards for the Eastern Mass Div. 3 meet on the right-hand side of the blog, so it'll be easy to reference.
Monday - uniforms distributed after practice to Seniors and Juniors
Tuesday - uniforms distributed after practice to Sophomores and Freshmen
Wednesday - Shoveling from 2:15-2:50, team picture at 3:00 in uniform in the gym. Monday and Tuesday are supposed to be over 50, so there shouldn't be much left to shovel.

Friday's practice, week ahead
Lacrosse is at Marshall Street again today, so we have the indoor track to ourselves, though some of the distance runners are outside, so that group should be prepared for the weather. The baseball team will be using the batting cages, but that's a closed-off area that only takes up one part of the inside court (the one with the shot put circle), so they won't affect us.
No practice tomorrow, and the fieldhouse is used the entire day by the Destination Imagination groups, so no weight room use, either.
The Parents Meeting scheduled for Tuesday at 6:30 is still on, but it's been moved to the cafeteria since we won't be able to fit everyone into the original location of Room 512.
If you weren't able to go to Spike Night at Marathon Sports, this weekend is a great time to get new shoes, especially if you're new to the team.
Since we aren't supposed to get much precipitation, I'm anticipating we'll still have the fieldhouse to ourselves on Monday. The rest of next week is supposed to be in the 40s, maybe a day hitting 50, so expect a Shoveling Day maybe Wednesday or Thursday.

Important First Week Info (UPDATED for Wednesday)
Thanks to everyone for a smooth transition to Spring Track, lots of new faces but we got through the first few days quite well thanks to you all being attentive listeners!
I'll keep updating this post each day, especially since we may wind up having to share the fieldhouse later in the week, or wind up outside if we get the track cleared.
WEDNESDAY - we have the indoor track to ourselves again, distance runners (the ones not going to Hopkinton) are outside.
Spike Night at Marathon Sports in Mansfield after practice. They give our team a discount on all footwear, and usually they have stuff like T-shirts or shorts marked down considerably. You can get your shoes elsewhere or on another date, but it's a good option.
I'm holding off on posting info for Thursday and Friday for now.
And yes, the team does have a twitter account, I'm using the Girls XC one (@hollistonxc).

Track Shoveling Update
Here's the situation regarding snow removal. Boys lacrosse had 30-40 guys today, and they cleared about 600-800 square meters of the field today (about 20m x 30m) in one hour.
We had ten athletes today (some borrowed from softball) for about a half-hour each, and we got 15m worth of Lanes 2 and 3 on the straightaway.
As of now Monday is supposed to be in the mid-40s, Tuesday in the low 40s. We're getting mostly rain this weekend, not expecting much if any snow accumulation.
Everyone on the team that hasn't already shoveled has to do 30 minutes on either Monday or Tuesday.
The following people have already contributed 30 minutes to the team and are hereby excused from shoveling duty
Mark Mulvaney
Sam Ratcliffe
Sydney Snow
Bridget Ghelli
Helen Dolan
Madison Ward
Anna Foster
*Plastic Shovels are preferable. If it has a metal edge, you can shovel, just leave an inch of snow on the bottom so you don't scrape the track. If you want to shovel on your own tomorrow, do so in the afternoon; it's too cold in the morning.
*We're only shoveling Lanes 2 and 3 because shoveling in Lane 1 means it's going to be dumped in lane 4, which does us no good.
With over 100 athletes total between the boys and girls team, there is absolutely no reason we can't do the remaining 70m in Lanes 2 and 3 to give us a full straightaway.
Although the warmup may be inside on Monday, all groups except the throwers should expect to be outside for most of their workout.
