Snow 2nd, Mike Glazebrook qualifies at Winter Festival

Quite a few PR's today as well as one new state qualifier and a few top-eight finishes.

In chronological order...

Addie Datz placed 30th in a time of 5:54.80, coming from behind to win her heat. Abby Meltzer was 46th in 6:05.80, in a field of over 100 runners.

Ed Glazebrook PR'd with a 5:05.49 (49th place), while Mike Glazebrook came in 8th overall in a state qualifying time of 4:40.80, a six-second PR.

Eve Bagley PR'd in the 600, running 1:45.74 to lower her already state-qualifying time. Sydney Snow came in 2nd overall with a 1:39.65, faster than any non-state meet she's run.

Emma Sayers was 23rd overall, and the #4 freshman, in the 1000 with a time of 3:32.18. Alexis Mejia was seventh overall in 3:24.17.

Madison Ward tied for fifth in high jump at 5'0, while Hannah Brady was 26th in shot put at 26'11.5.

Anna Foster was 29th in 47.64 in the 300, just ahead of Helen Dolan (47.74, 32nd). Ed Bennie took 39th in 40.44 while Rick Brown was14th in 38.61.

Girls beat Medfield, three new state qualifiers

The girls defeated Medfield 50-36 while the boys lost 59-27 yesterday at Wheaton College in Norton. Eve Bagley (600), Sydney Snow (1000), and Mike Glazebrook (1000) all qualified for states, while a few others were just a tenth or two off the standard.

The girls defeated Ashland 56-30 and lost to Norton 45-41 while the boys fell 50-35 to Ashland and 70-16 to Norton. Sydney Snow and Madison Ward both qualified for states, as did the 4x400 relay team.

Parent Meeting Wednesday at 6PM

The Parents Meeting will be held Wednesday at 6PM in Room 512

First Week Info

Here's the important information regarding the first week of practice.

Practice starts at 2:30, all athletes meet in the gym, though some athletes will be running outside. ALWAYS have enough layers, hats/gloves with you in your locker. It's better to "have it and not need it" than to "need it and not have it!"

Wednesday, December 3rd - Parents Meeting at 6:00 in Coach Moreau's room.

Thursday, December 4th - Team Spike Night at Marathon Sports in Mansfield. For newcomers, the store gives an additional discount to our team's athletes at this event, though you're certainly welcome to get shoes or other gear at other stores if you so choose. Usually we carpool over after practice, leaving at around 4 or 4:15.

Indoor Signup Meeting November 5th

Our indoor track signup meeting will be held after school on Wednesday, November 5th in the Cafeteria. Please be aware that registration for winter sports is available online (same process as in the fall), deadline is November 16th!
