Big Performances at Boston Holiday Challenge

Here are the results of the Boston Holiday Challenge

Boys Shot Put: Chisholm 47'3, 6th place...moved up two places in the finals, way to step up!
Boys Hurdles: Krauss 8.26, 8th place...second fastest time he's ever run, qualifies for states easily
Boys 300: Sanford 39.33 (23rd), Beaudry 39.96 (39th)...Tabor PR's by a full 1.44 seconds, after being seeded 53rd! Good job guys!

Girls 55m Dash: Crowley 8.00, 28th place...seeded 44th, only 0.01 seconds off her PR, good job!
Girls Long Jump: Crowley 14'3.5, 16th place...considering you had to jog from the end of your dash to the runway to jump three times within two minutes, that's a good job.

Hope everyone at practice competed well today. We'll see you at 9AM tomorrow.

Holiday Meet Performance Lists

Don't forget, if you're being driven in by someone other than your parents, you need to have your parents e-mail Mr. Levesque telling them you have permission to do so.

Practice Change / Holiday Meet Info

This Wednesday's practice will be held from 4:30-5:30. It's our "late day" of the week, and since wrestling has a big match with Norton that might decide the TVL title, we're ending a bit earlier than usual. Distance runners may be starting at 2:30 to get their run in outside - check with Coach Jo for confirmation. All are encouraged to stay afterwards to cheer on the wrestling team!

I'll speak with the athletes entered in the Holiday Meet (Tues, Dec. 27th) at practice about coordinating transportation. Since there's only eight of you, we'll most likely be driving in. Here are the entries, with your seed time/distances. I'll put up the Performance List for the meet once it's posted, which will most likely be Thursday. This is an excellent chance for you to qualify for the Div. 3 state meet (except for Cam, who already has)

BOYS
Shot Put - Chisholm (48'6) - ranked fourth in the entire state as of now!
Hurdles - Krauss (8.18)
300 - Sanford (38.52) and Beaudry (40.7)
4x200 - Krauss, Sanford, Beaudry, Slattery, Cotto (we'll finalize who the alternate is in the next day or so)

GIRLS
Long Jump - McKunes (15'8), Crowley (16'0.5)
300 - McKunes (46.7)
55 Dash - Crowley (7.97)
Mile - Rosati (5:32.58)

I'll post the order of events and estimated time for each race along with the performance list once it's available.

Parent Meeting Wednesday / New Kids Note

There will be a meeting for parents Wednesday at 6:45 (after practice, which is 4:30-6:30 that day). Site to be announced, most likely the cafeteria.

We're still accepting new athletes, whether they've just been cut from a sport or if they hadn't decided until now to join track. If they're coming from another sport, that sport's coach has to send Coach Moreau (girls) or myself (boys) their yellow form before they can participate.

Enjoy the weekend!
