Saturday turned out to be a great day for the relay meet down in Sandwich. Even though they may not be good at remembering sunblock, many of our relays made the medal stand. The Boys jumped up 5 places and 9 points to finish in 6th place out 27 and the Girls placed 10th out of 25 teams.
Here they are listed in order of top finishers:
Boys 4x200 team was 2nd out of 32 (Hampton Boyd, Dolan, Sofoul and another) MEDAL
Girls High Jump Finished 2nd out of 18 teams - Brook Geoffroy, Caroline Ward and Riley Marsden
Brook had a big PR of 5'3" and nicked the bar on 5'5" - MEDAL
Boys 4x400 of Boyd, Sofoul, Dolan, and mystery guy finished in 3rd place - MEDAL!
Boys Discus was 3rd out of 17 - MEDAL (Sean Keast, Steve Gallivan and Cam Connell)
Girls 4x100 team of Emma Guccione, Sydney Brucato, Gwen Freeley and Caroline Ward finished in 5th place out of 42 teams - MEDAL
Girls Discus (Kelly Alves, Isabella Bergloff and Amelia Porter and ) 5th out of 26 teams
Boys Triple Jump team Satchel Snow, Ismael Maganga and Ryan Freeley - 5th out of 13 - MEDAL
Girls Long Jump of Emma, Caroline and Lexi Mejia 6th out of 25 teams - MEDAL
Boys Long Jump of Yoel (PR), Ismael (PR), Mitch Gimblett were 6th out of 25 teams - MEDAL
Girls Shot put was tied for 7th out of 25 teams (Kelly, Isabella Bergloff and Amelia?) - MEDAL
Girls 4x400 team finished 9th out of 33 teams
Girls 4x800 team was 10th out of 26
Girls 4x200 team finished 11th out of 43 teams
Boys Distance Medley Relay was 12th out of 33
Boys Javelin was 12th out of 21
Boys 4x1600 was 13th out of 24
Girls Javelin was 13th out of 17
Boys 4x100 team was 25th out of 38
PLEASE NOTE, There is not place to find out who participates in each event so my son helped me, but he doesn't know everyone. So I had to make an executive decision and try to put in as many names as we knew that medaled as this takes a while and we don't know a lot of kids! If you know someone in an event that medaled and I don't have their name - please send along to me at: steve@accessenroll.com - thanks.
ALSO - if you know someone PR'd in any event, please send it along - I don't care if they medaled or not - it's nice to include for anyone who improves over their best performance.
